Chair Cover Care and Cleaning

How do I wash the Chair Cover?

  1. Remove the Chair Cover from the chair and put it in the washer with the design side facing out.
  2. Machine-wash the cover in cold water on a delicate cycle using a mild, non-bleach detergent. 
  3. Tips: For tough stains, apply a non-bleach stain remover before washing. You may choose to add ½ cup of white vinegar to your detergent to help neutralize pet odors.

How do I dry the Chair Cover?

Place the Chair Cover in a dryer machine and tumble dry on a low heat or delicate setting. Avoid high heat. If you prefer, you may hang and air-dry your Cover. 

How long does it take to air-dry the Chair Cover?

Approximately 24 hours, though this is largely dependent on ambient conditions and the size of your Chair Cover.

What are the best washer and dryer settings for my Chair Cover?

To ensure that your Chair Cover maintains its vibrant color and structure, we recommend these washer and dryer settings:

  • Washer Setting: We recommend washing your Chair Cover in cold water using the delicate wash cycle and a mild and non-bleach detergent. 
  • Dryer Setting: Set the dryer on low heat. Avoid high heat. The Chair Cover can also be hung and air-dried if preferred.

What detergents should I use to wash the Chair Cover?

We recommend using any mild, non-bleach detergent for all our Chair Covers.

Can I use a fabric softener when washing the Chair Cover?

No. We do not recommend using fabric softener when washing the chair over as it may flatten the texture of the cover.

Can I use bleach when washing the Chair Cover?

No. We do not recommend using bleach when washing any of our Chair Covers as it may cause the colors to fade.

For major spills, pre-treat the Chair Cover by putting mild, non-bleach detergent or stain remover directly on the stained area before putting it in the washing machine.

Should I wash my Chair Cover right after a spill or pet accident?

Yes. For best results, wash the cover immediately after any major stains or accidents. For minor spills, you may spot-clean the area using a mild, non-bleach detergent. 

Can I wash the cushion underneath the Chair Cover on my chair?

Our cushions are covered with a water resistant stain barrier for extra cushion protection. For wet messes, spot-clean the area of the water resistant stain barrier with soap and water using a washcloth or towel, then allow the cushion to dry laying flat. Avoid putting your cushions in the washer.

Will my Chair Cover change color after washing or drying?

Our covers are made with durable materials that allow the colors to stay bright and vibrant as long as the suggested care instructions are followed.

How do I get rid of wrinkles in my Chair Cover?

Our covers are naturally wrinkle resistant, but still may wrinkle if they’ve been left in the washing machine or dryer, or stored for extended periods of time. To remove the wrinkles, we recommend using any handheld steamer. Steam the wrinkled area for a few seconds and the cover will return to normal.

Are Levity chairs good if you have pets?

Yes. Levity chairs are designed to be pet-friendly! You can easily clean them (see care instructions) and rinse away stains and odors, including pet hair, dirt, slobber, and more. Our Chair Covers are machine-washable and easy to remove and reattach, so you can take them off and put them in your washing machine at home.

Are Levity chairs made to order?

Yes. Our chairs are made to order and are processed shortly after an order is placed.

Can the Chair Cover be used on other chairs?

No. Our chairs are designed with specialized attachments like snaps, zippers, and bungees that make it easy for the Chair Cover to cling to the Levity Chair. Our covers will not attach properly to chairs from other manufacturers.

Can I buy multiple covers for a single chair?

Yes! One of the great things about our removable covers is that they are interchangeable (within the same chair design). This means that you can buy multiple covers and change your chair’s design as often as you like.

What’s the best way to store my extra Chair Covers?

We recommend rolling or folding up your Chair Cover loosely with the design side facing in. Avoid placing anything on top of your folded Chair Cover to prevent hard creases from forming.

Where are Levity chairs made?

Our Chair Covers are made in the USA with imported materials. Our chair frames and component parts are manufactured overseas and shipped from our US-based production facilities. 

What does it mean when you say “Levity chairs are pet-friendly”?

The Levity Chair Cover is water-resistant and machine-washable, making it easier to deal with all kinds of pet- (and non-pet) related accidents. The Levity chair frame is also easy to spot-clean.

What are your chairs made of?

Our Chair Systems are each made of a number of different materials depending on the chair style. Our Chair Covers are made of 100% polyester woven fabric. Our woods include solid beechwood, solid rubberwood, along with other plywood and wood veneer materials. Our seat cushions are composed of dual-density layers of memory foam and high resilience poly-foam. Our backrest pillows use a polyester filling. All of our cushions are wrapped in a stretch polyester with a TPU coated stain barrier for extra protection.

What fabric do you use for your Chair Covers?

Our fabric is a soft heavy-weight basketweave made of 100% upholstery-grade polyester offering sturdiness and durability while maintaining a smooth hand-feel. The textured surface gives off a look that will stand the test of time while ensuring an inviting and comfortable appeal.

Are your chairs water-resistant?

Yes, all of our chair cushions are covered with a water-resistant stain barrier to protect the cushions inside. 

Are your chairs stain-resistant?

Yes. All our Chair Covers are naturally stain-resistant. However, we recommend washing the Chair Cover immediately after a spill or pet accident. We also recommend using a stain remover for the toughest stains. Oil-based stains may become permanent if not attended to immediately.

Why is my chair’s color different from the photo on the site?

We strive to provide the most accurate representation of our chair designs and colors on our site, however, some colors may slightly vary due to your screen or monitor settings and/or your room’s lighting conditions.

Do your products come assembled?

Our chairs will arrive ready to assemble. Everything you will need will be in the package. Our chairs are easy to assemble and typically take under 15 minutes to set up.

Will my chairs need tools to assemble?

Our chairs are easy to assemble and everything you need will be in the box!

How long will assembly take?

Our chairs are easy to assemble and typically take under 15 minutes to set up.

Are Levity chairs stackable?

For your safety and performance of our chairs, Levity Chairs should not be stacked.

Do you have a retail presence / physical store?

Our products are made to order. Our orders typically ship within 2-4 weeks.

How will my chair(s) arrive?

Your chairs will arrive via FedEx Ground. As soon as your order ships, you will receive a tracking email where you can monitor progress.

How do I track my order?

When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. If you can’t find your order confirmation email in your inbox, there’s a good chance it may be in your spam or junk mail folder.

Once your order has shipped, you’ll receive an email with your order tracking information and estimated delivery date. You can click on the order tracking link directly in the email or enter your tracking number at

We also recommend signing up for FedEx Delivery Manager, which allows you to receive up-to-date tracking notifications via text or email, request to have your package held at a FedEx location, change your shipping address, and more!

My order said it was delivered, but I can’t find it. What should I do?

First, check your surroundings and with your household members, neighbors, or your building manager in case they have received your package on your behalf.  Packages may be behind bushes, delivered to the back door, etc.  

If you still aren’t able to locate your package, contact your local FedEx office by calling 1 (800)-463-3339 and providing them your order tracking number.

How can I cancel my order?

Discounts and promo codes do not apply to sale items unless otherwise noted and cannot be combined or used with any other offers. Only one promo code can be used per purchase.

When will my order arrive?

Our products are made to order and typically ship within 2-4 weeks. During peak sales periods, it may take up to 6 weeks for your order to ship.

Where do you ship to?

We ship to the U.S. (including Alaska and Hawaii). We do not ship to P.O. Boxes (including APO and FPO) or to the U.S. Territories.

Returns and Exchanges

What is your return policy?

We know how important it is to fill your home with pieces you love. That's why we offer a 30-day return policy on all Levity orders. Any items purchased from can be returned for a full refund (minus cost of delivery and return shipping) within 30 days of the delivery date. Unfortunately, we cannot refund your original shipping charges [and taxes will be credited in accordance with state laws.] Return shipping costs are your responsibility and Levity will not be responsible for lost returns.

    To receive a full refund, the original item MUST be returned:

    - Disassembled completely
    - In the original packaging to prevent item(s) from damage while in transport
    - Almost new condition without:
    - Pet dander or fur
    - Signs of wear, washing, or improper care
    - Damage or stains
      All returned items are thoroughly inspected, and any item(s) returned in a condition deemed as no longer sellable will not be refunded. 

        Can I return final sale items?

        All final sale item(s) are considered final sale and not eligible for return.

        How do I return a Levity product?

        To return a Levity product, please contact our Customer Care team via email at with your order number and the items you wish to return. Once we receive your item(s) at our facility, please allow up to 5 business days to process your return and an additional 2 to 3 business days to receive your refund.

        Does Levity cover defects?

        We believe in the quality of our chairs, and cover defects in materials and workmanship. As a testament to the quality and workmanship of our chairs, Levity will be able to provide replacement parts, refund or credit should an item or part become defective or unusable through normal wear and usage within one year of delivery. Defects or damage caused by negligence, misuse, accidents, excess weight, abnormal use, or modifications will not be covered. For qualifying products, Levity may refund, replace, or give credit for the damaged item, at its sole discretion, without charge. In instances of minor defects or damage (to be determined by Levity), Levity may offer a partial refund. In order to submit a request, simply email us at with at least 3 images of the defective chair. (Additional images may be required depending on the nature of the defect.) We also require that you provide proof of original purchase on; we are unable to provide refund, replacements, or credits for products not sold on or transferred to a third party.

        Our covers and chairs are stain-resistant and durable, but no fabric or material is impervious to everything. Routine care and cleaning are vital to maintaining the long-term durability and appearance of your chair. See this link for care instructions. 

        Can I cancel after I place my order?

        Yes, you can contact our customer care team within 24 hours if you would like to cancel an order after placing one for a full refund. 


        Sample Swatches

        Do you offer Sample Swatches?

        Yes, we do offer samples of our covers! All samples come in 3"x3" and are free up to 5 swatches! Additional swatches will cost a total of $10 for up to 5 additional swatches.

        How do I order samples?

        To request a sample kit, please email us at with the specific designs/colors requested.  

        Once we receive your request, please allow 1-2 business days for a member of our team to send you a draft invoice to complete your order.

        How many designs can I include in my Sample Kit? 

        Each Sample Kit is free up to 5 designs. Additional designs can be purchased for $10 for up to 5 additional swatches.

        When will I receive my Sample Kit?

        Once the invoice is complete and your order is received, please allow 3-5 business days for the samples to ship.

        Will deliveries be impacted?

        We are doing everything we can to ensure deliveries are not impacted by the effects of COVID-19. We expect all of our styles to be shipped within 2-4 weeks from the order date but are aware that shipping carriers have seen some delays in delivery during the pandemic period.
